Southern Ocean Lodge
This new property combines leading edge design, superb cliff-top accommodation and the best in food and wine. Opened in March 2008 it sets the benchmark in luxury experience for the Pacific and is fast becoming a focus for premium Australian travel. The full service day spa, superb cellar, plunge pool, dining space and lounge with 300 degree views combine with three accommodation choices to enable guests to create an exceptional Kangaroo Island experience. Attention to detail defines both the accommodation and service.Minimum 2 night stay.
Touring - private charter only - although there are a range of experiences incorporated in the room rate including a half-day "Wonders of Kangaroo Island" tour which we operate on behalf of Southern Ocean Lodge.
Deluxe Farmstay
The following two properties can be utilised as part of our share tour packages in the category of Deluxe Bed
and Breakfast. All packages are inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast and nocturnal tours provided by the
properties are booked under the Deluxe Farmstay Nocturnal rate on a per person basis.
Stranraer Homestead
Stranraer is a working sheep farm which has been in the Wheaton family for generations and their hospitality
is legendary. Guests are accommodated in four guest rooms although only three are used at one time unless
booked sole use. Three main guest rooms each have a dedicated bathroom but not all are en-suite. The larger
multi-space bathroom facilities used for families or twin share occupancy are shown in the plan below. Touring
can be on share or private basis. Maximum occupancy per room is three guests in a double and single bed.
Molly's Run
This beautiful farm homestead is located on acreage on the North Coast with views out over
the ocean. There are two guest rooms - both ensuite Queen doubles. Rooms are relatively small
but guest living areas are spacious and well appointed. One guest room is upstairs with ocean
views and the other downstairs and opens out to expansive gardens. Excellent hospitality and
wonderful meals. Maximum occupancy per room is two guests in a Queen double.
Boutique Bed and Breakfast
The following two properties can be utilised as part of our share tour packages in the category of Bed and Breakfast. All packages are inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast and nocturnal tours provided by the properties are booked under the Bed and Breakfast Nocturnal rate on a per person basis.
Wanderer’s Rest
Wanderer’s Rest has 9 guest rooms, all king doubles which convert to twin. The property is on three levels - restaurant, pool and garden, and guest rooms, with two flights of stairs so it is inappropriate for guests with mobility challenges. Similarly as the pool is not fenced from within the property, children under 10 years of age cannot be accommodated. Great views over Eastern Cove and a good chance of seeing endangered glossy black cockatoos. Touring can be share or private. Part of our share packages in the “Bed and Breakfast” category. Maximum occupancy per room is three guests in a double/twin plus a pull-out sofa bed.
Correa Corner Bed and Breakfast
This purpose built property has three large guest rooms, all with spacious en-suite bathroooms. Guest living areas are open plan with views out to a well established garden and the ocean to the east. Touring can be on a share or private basis.Maximum occupancy is three guests with a single and double configuration in the Willow Suite - the other two rooms are doubles. Nocturnal tours available at the Bed and Breakfast rate.
Hotel Category
The following two properties can be utilised as part of our share tour packages in the Hotel category. All packages are inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast.
Kangaroo Island Lodge
38 room property on the water front in American River - 28 4 star rooms with similar decor and sea views. A majority of rooms are King doubles - all bathrooms are en-suite and there are 8 interconnecting pairs making it well suited to families. Part of our share touring packages in the “Hotel” category. Touring can be on a share or private basis . Maximum occupancy is four guests in some of the larger Waterview rooms.
Kangaroo Island Seaside Inn
Under new management the former Wisteria Lodge has been relaunched under a new name with a soft furnishing upgrade. Hosts are a very experienced Kangaroo Island hospitality family the Schumann's and guest response has been excellent. The property is situated on the seafront overlooking the Island's yacht club and is only a few minutes walk to the centre of Kingscote. The restaurant is excellent and there are a variety of room configurations. It is priced at 3 star but performs better than this in terms of amenity and hospitality.
Aurora Ozone Hotel
A major addition to the Island’s largest accommodation in Kingscote these 4 star rooms are contemporary and well appointed. All rooms are king doubles - some have an additional single bed. Bathrooms are en-suite and 8 interconnecting pairs make it wel lsuited to families. Touring can be on a share or private basis. Maximum occupancy per room is three guests with a single and King double configuration.
Private Villas
Due to the more remote location of these properties from our tour base the following properties can only be used on a private charter tour basis rather than our share touring packages.
LifeTime Private Retreats
Three luxurious private villas overlooking spectacular Snellings Beach on the North Coast. Includes all meals, transfers,
beverages and yoga. Additional fees for fishing, diving, touring, massage or cooking classes. Tailored gourmet dinners are served in your own private villa. We recommend at least
a day at leisure to relax and enjoy the surrounds. Suggest tour day one, overnight, day at leisure, overnight and tour day
three before departing as a minimum stay.
